Just a thought by coppi

Just a thought by coppi. –  I have sent this thought before but I think it’s worthy to send again.

You don’t have to do everything! You are not God’s solution to society, but you are a solution in society. Don’t worry about the skills you don’t have. Don’t covet the strengths others do have. Just extract your uniqueness—to God’s glory!  (Max Lucado – UpWords: June 1,2018)

Galatians 6:4-6 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of.  You must each accept the responsibilities that are yours.

Theodore Roosevelt – “Comparison is the thief of joy.”

One of the fastest ways of discouraging yourself and getting trapped by the sin of envy is when you compare yourself to others. God has a specific plan for you and you won’t accomplish that plan by looking at others.

I have been guilty of comparison, and it is the thief of joy.  There is always a better golfer, a better artist, a better cook (I have no problem there!), a better whatever.  I am working on being a better cheerleader for all the “betters”.  Now that brings joy & happiness into my life, which suits me better.
