Just a thought by coppi

The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.””Exodus‬ ‭14:14‬

Definition of calm:

Not showing or feeling nervousness, anger, or other strong emotions.

I have a friend who I admire and one of the reasons is her calmness.  Since I am a hyper-thyroid grasshopper, playing golf with my friend calms my ‘hyper-ness”.  I can imagine how the people of Israel felt when Moses was leading them out of Egypt.  They were panic stricken when they saw Pharaoh approaching and the Egyptians overtaking them.  No calmness there only lots of complaints!  Moses instructs them “to stand still and stay calm and watch the Lord rescue you”, which he did.  Believe me I know about tsunamis blowing in and covering you with waters of fear.  Standing still and trusting God is hard.  But I know also He will go with you and fight your battle if you will stay calm and let him.  “Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low; the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain”.  Isaiah 40:5.  And as one of my favorite gospel song goes – sung by Lynda Randle:

“Life is easy, when you’re up on the mountain

And you’ve got peace of mind, like you’ve never known

But things change, when you’re down in the valley

Don’t lose faith, for you’re never alone

For the God on the mountain, is the God in the valley

When things go wrong, He’ll make them right

And the God of the good times

Is still God in the bad times……”

“He is…..”
